YACHT DESIGN
MASTERPIECE OF ELEGANCE
Xema

Xema is a 35-meter high-performance sailing yacht defined by sleek proportions and minimalist architectural discipline. Conceived as a fast cruiser with uncompromised comfort, the design establishes a dual identity: dynamic under sail yet refined in atmosphere. Both exterior and interior design are unified through a restrained, contemporary language that positions Xema as a modern luxury sailing yacht shaped by precision and balance.

The core objective behind Xema’s design was to create a sail yacht capable of delivering pleasurable cruising with a high level of onboard comfort while maintaining performance efficiency. The yacht is engineered for fast yet manageable sailing, allowing for easy handling even with a reduced crew. Its carefully resolved proportions and aerodynamic lines support consistent sailing enjoyment without sacrificing spatial refinement.
Automotive-inspired surfacing informed the initial concept sketches, introducing sculpted transitions and fluid geometries rarely seen in traditional sailing yachts. The exterior composition is characterized by a low pilothouse integrated into a flush deck profile, reinforcing a clean and uninterrupted silhouette. Captive winches and under-deck line management enhance both safety and visual clarity, maintaining a disciplined and uncluttered deck environment.

The cockpit is recessed within a protective coaming, offering shelter without compromising forward visibility from the helm. This thoughtful spatial integration ensures both ergonomic control and aesthetic cohesion. The deck plan is organized into three distinct social zones: a convertible deckhouse lounge, a central cockpit designed for communal interaction, and an aft sunbathing area. This layered configuration allows the entire deck to function as an adaptable open-air living space.

Constructed using advanced composite materials, including high-modulus prepreg carbon fibre, Xema prioritizes lightweight performance and structural integrity. Every component is carefully considered to optimize weight distribution and sailing responsiveness. OLED lighting is integrated throughout the yacht, introducing a refined and modern atmosphere while reinforcing the project’s technological sophistication.
Xema is equipped with a hybrid energy architecture that enables the collection, storage, and use of solar power alongside shore supply and engine-driven generation. The solar array and hybrid electric drive system allow the yacht to function as a mobile power platform, ensuring consistent onboard energy autonomy while supporting quieter and more efficient cruising operations.

The interior design reflects the same purity and restraint evident in the exterior architecture. The master and guest cabins are positioned forward beneath a continuous skylight extending from the companionway to the mast foot. This architectural feature floods the main saloon, galley, corridor, and cabins with natural light, creating an open and airy atmosphere suited for extended voyages. Through disciplined minimalism and integrated technology, Xema represents a contemporary interpretation of super sailing yacht design defined by clarity, performance, and enduring comfort.
