YACHT DESIGN

SUPERB SAILING

Cauta

Cauta is a 55-meter high-performance super sailing yacht conceived as a world cruiser with a forward-looking architectural identity. Inspired by the albatross, its silhouette is unmistakably that of a sailing yacht, yet distinct from conventional superyacht typologies. The exterior language emphasizes fluid curves, controlled sensuality, and a covered upper deck configuration with minimal sharp edges, resulting in a profile that feels both aerodynamic and sculptural.

The guiding philosophy behind Cauta is purpose-driven design — every curve, surface transition, and structural component exists for functional intent. Aerodynamic and hydrodynamic optimization shape the yacht’s geometry at every scale, allowing it to deliver authentic sailing performance while remaining fully homologated for open-sea navigation. The concept translates the quiet power and efficiency of a gliding albatross into marine architecture, creating a vessel defined by clarity and restraint.

Constructed with a carbon fibre hull and superstructure, Cauta prioritizes lightweight engineering to enhance speed, responsiveness, and structural integrity. The exterior finish in “Elite Supernova Silver” reflects both technological precision and understated elegance. The combination of advanced composites and refined surfacing reinforces its identity as a high-performance sailing superyacht with contemporary character.

Cauta is equipped with a revolutionary Dynarig sailing system featuring two self-standing, rotating masts supporting ten sails. This configuration enables sail management by a single operator, significantly simplifying performance sailing while maximizing efficiency. As a result, the yacht achieves transoceanic capability with reduced crew dependency, positioning it as a new-generation super cruiser capable of extended Atlantic passages.

The yacht operates on a diesel-electric propulsion system integrating three Caterpillar C12.9 gensets connected to a Siemens electric drive. This system works in combination with an innovative shaft and feathering propeller configuration to optimize energy efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize vibration and onboard noise. The integration of electric architecture enhances both environmental performance and onboard comfort during long-range cruising.

Cauta accommodates ten guests and eight crew members within a layout designed for flexibility and extended living at sea. The owner’s stateroom spans the full beam aft, offering a generous living area, integrated surface-display desk, rain shower system, and dedicated dressing space. Large monolithic polycarbonate side and floor panels create panoramic exterior views while introducing a unique underwater visual connection rarely experienced aboard traditional sailing yachts.

Exterior living spaces were carefully designed for prolonged family use. A large open flybridge provides expansive deck area, while an elevated freeboard wraps around to function as both bulwark and coaming, offering enhanced safety compared to conventional guardrail systems. Protected cockpit areas include dining, lounge, and sunbathing zones, and the aft cockpit can transform into a shallow paddling pool, creating a secure and adaptable environment for children when offshore swimming conditions are unsuitable.

Inside, the design balances modern minimalism with richness and warmth. While the lightweight philosophy required disciplined detailing, the interior integrates OLED technology throughout, introducing a dynamic visual layer to cabins and exterior architectural elements. This subtle technological integration enhances spatial atmosphere without overwhelming the sailing identity, completing Cauta as a performance-driven super sailing yacht defined by structural intelligence, fluid architecture, and long-range capability.
