A FUSION OF ALPINE LUXURY
Chalet 17

Chalet 17 is a luxury alpine interior design project located in the heart of the French Alps, conceived through a collaboration between Bozca and architectural studio Phenomen. Set against the dramatic landscape of Tignes, the chalet reinterprets traditional mountain living through a contemporary lens. The project balances regional heritage with progressive spatial design, redefining the experience of high-altitude hospitality through material depth, architectural clarity, and environmental sensitivity.

The interior concept draws inspiration from volcanic formations, translating geological strength into sculptural surfaces and layered textures. Soft, flowing lines intersect with structured geometries, creating a dialogue between elemental force and refined craftsmanship. This interplay of contrast mirrors the surrounding alpine terrain — rugged yet serene — resulting in spaces that feel both powerful and composed.

Programmatically, Chalet 17 is designed as a complete lifestyle retreat. The residence features an indoor swimming pool, hammam, sauna, private cinema, ski room, and seven bespoke guest suites. Each space is carefully articulated to maintain continuity in atmosphere while responding to functional needs. Circulation, lighting, and material transitions are resolved with precision, ensuring that comfort and spatial elegance coexist seamlessly.

Material selection plays a central role in shaping the chalet’s identity. Copper accents, onyx surfaces, French oak, black ash wood, and natural stone elements establish a layered and tactile interior language. The combination of dark and light mineral textures reinforces a sense of grounded sophistication, while integrated smart systems support energy efficiency and environmental responsibility without compromising luxury.

Chalet 17 represents a contemporary evolution of alpine interior design. By merging forward-thinking sustainability with sculptural material expression, the project offers a refined interpretation of mountain hospitality. It stands as an architectural sanctuary where tradition and innovation converge, creating an immersive environment rooted in nature, craftsmanship, and modern luxury.
