SCULPTURE DESIGN
THE ART OF SAILING
Yelken

Yelken is a crystal sculpture that reinterprets the language of sailing yacht design through an artistic lens. Developed in collaboration with Crystal Caviar, the piece merges the fluid anatomy of a sailfish with the disciplined proportions of a sailing yacht, translating marine performance into sculptural form. Its sweeping transitions and soaring geometry create a sense of upward motion, allowing the object to appear as though it is shaped by wind itself. More than a decorative artifact, Yelken transports yacht design into a new artistic dimension where material, movement, and maritime identity converge.

Inspired by clarity of form and purist aesthetics, Yelken embodies dynamism through controlled segmentation and fluid surface articulation. The lower volume evokes the sensual curvature of a yacht hull, while the upper structure gradually separates into crystalline planes reminiscent of a sail in motion. This transformation from solid mass to layered translucency captures the essence of speed and elegance, positioning Yelken as a refined exploration of yacht-inspired design expressed through sculptural craftsmanship.
